My Journey
Prior to becoming an attorney, she served as a Teach for America Corps member, where she was a high school English teacher.
Her time as an educator opened up her world to the inequality that persists in our country’s education system, specifically among our most under-served communities and immigrant population. From her students, Thais witnessed first-hand the devastating effects US immigration laws can have on families and the importance of advocacy.
As an attorney, Thais works directly with her clients, in and out of court, advocating with them and fighting for their chance at the American dream.
